For your first three weeks, there is no cost to coming along to Wotton Hall, so please feel free to come along to the club. Memberships are on an annual basis, but are pro-rata for any members joining during the middle of the season. Please speak to our Club Treasurer, Mike Ashworth, if you would like more information on club memberships.
After your first three sessions, the membership fees are as follows:
£62.00 annually
£35.00 annually
£25.00 annually
If you're just coming down the the club to play in friendly games, you won't need to worry about getting an English Chess Federation (ECF) membership. If, however, you're looking to play competitive chess in the 2024-2025 season, we would recommend signing up for an ECF Bronze membership if you're looking solely to play in the North Gloucestershire Chess Association (NGCA) - this includes internal competitions such as the Wotton Hall Club Championship. If you're also looking to compete in tournaments such as the Cotswold Congress or the Stroud Rapid, we'd recommend looking into a Gold membership.
Please see here for more information on the two membership types - https://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecf-membership-rates-and-joining-details/.
